How much of the hair is made into dreads is entirely up to you. Some people prefer just a few dreadlocks mixed with loose hair, while others like most of the hair to remain loose with only a few dread accents.
I create curly synthetic dreads and Mermaid dreads, and each hairstyle is designed individually so you can achieve the hair you have always dreamed of.
There is a wide range of hair colors and shades available, allowing us to create a result that perfectly matches your style and blends beautifully with your natural hair.
If you prefer a softer, more natural look, I can also create a variation where a braid is used instead of a dreadlock, helping the extensions blend even more seamlessly with your own hair.

I have over 26 years of experience working with dreadlocks and hair extensions, and I specialize in creating natural-looking, beautiful and long-lasting Mermaid dreadlocks that are tailored to your hair and personal style.
I work with curly synthetic dreads and Mermaid dreadlocks using several different techniques. The method that suits you best depends entirely on the style and look you want to create.
Mermaid dreadlocks are a unique combination of dreadlocks and loose curly lengths. The dreadlocks start at the root and transition into soft curls or waves, creating a more natural, bohemian look. The loose ends allow the hairstyle to move naturally and blend beautifully with your own hair.
This type of dreadlock style has become very popular among clients who want more volume, extra length, and a softer, more natural dreadlock appearance.
I create both pre-made synthetic dreads and Mermaid dreadlocks, including:

When it comes to installing single ended and double ended synthetic dreadlocks, I offer several braiding methods.
The technique used depends on:
your hair type
the amount of volume you want
the style you want to create
With 26 years of experience working with dreadlocks, I always adapt the technique so the result looks natural and remains gentle on your hair.
I begin by blending color tones to match your natural hair. You can also choose different color effects.
A section of your own hair is combined with synthetic hair and braided into a small braid of about 2 cm, which is secured with synthetic fiber thread.
This method does not damage your natural hair.
The synthetic hair is then backcombed and shaped into a dreadlock using my steam technique, which uses warm water vapor.
After the dreadlock section, the hair continues into curly or wavy lengths, creating the characteristic Mermaid dreadlock style.
Your own hair remains loose beside the dreadlocks and blends naturally with the curly lengths.

You can choose to:
create a full head of Mermaid dreadlocks
or add a few dreads for volume or color effects
Many clients choose just a few dreadlocks to create volume, texture and a bohemian look.
To keep the hairstyle looking fresh and to protect your natural hair, the dreadlocks should be removed or reinstalled after approximately 3 months.
During this time your hair will grow out, and if it is not combed out your hair can begin to form natural dreadlocks.
The synthetic dreadlocks I create are very durable and can last up to two years, but they should be reinstalled approximately every three months.
Wash your hair 1â2 times per week with a silicone-free shampoo.
When the hair is slightly damp, gently run your fingers through your natural hair to prevent it from tangling between the dreadlocks.
Once per day you can spray a conditioning spray on both the dreadlocks and your own hair.
This helps to:
keep your hair healthy
maintain the shape of the curls
keep the dreadlocks looking beautiful for longer

You will receive detailed instructions on how to care for your hair so that the hairstyle lasts and continues to look beautiful for as long as possible.
