Days In Person with Ann-Marie — The Seienstyle Loctician Training
How we begin
About a month before we meet in person, we'll have a video call together — just you and me. I want to know where you are, what you've been practicing, what questions are sitting with you. During that call I'll also take you through the core fundamentals of the Seienstyle process — so that by the time we're standing side by side with a real hair model, those foundations are already in your body, not just in your head. You won't be walking into something unknown. You'll already feel held.
(The online course is included from the moment you enroll, so you'll have time to go through the foundational material and get your basic tools sorted before we meet.)
Our two days together
We start at 9 in the morning and we work until the hair model is finished — so please keep your evenings free. Good work doesn't watch the clock.
During our two days we'll work side by side on two hair models. You'll practice loc creation, maintenance, and extensions — and if there are other services you want to focus on, we make room for that too. These two days are yours. Before we meet, we'll talk through what your main goals are, and I'll shape our time together around what matters most to you.
I'll be right there with you the whole time, guiding your hands, correcting your posture, answering questions the moment they arise. This is the kind of learning that can't happen through a screen.
I provide the hair models. I also take photos and video of our work together throughout the two days — that becomes your content library to use when you start promoting yourself.
One thing I ask: please come alone. No partners, children, friends, or pets. Our two days together are for you, and the space we create needs to belong to the work.
After our two days
The learning doesn't stop when we say goodbye. You'll have access to our private community where you can continue to share your work, ask questions, and receive my guidance as you do your first hair models on your own.
When you're ready, you can also become a certified Seienstyle loctician. To earn certification you'll do two hair models and one mannequin head independently, and I'll review your work personally.
What you'll be able to offer
When you've worked through the training, you'll have the skills to offer:
Dreadlocks with extensions · Dreadlocks with loose ends (Rapunzel locs, luxury ends, wispy ends) · Dreadlock extensions · Dreadlock extensions with loose ends (Rapunzel locs, luxury ends, wispy ends) · Dreadlocks on the client's own hair · Micro locs on Caucasian hair · Micro locs on kinky hair · Loc maintenance · Dreadlock extenders · Dreadlock decorations · Synthetic dreadlock creation (pre-made and applied directly) · Synthetic dreadlock installation in multiple methods · Synthetic micro locs · Faux locs · Mermaid dreadlocks and braids · Temporary partial dreadlocks
All of these services work across every hair texture. You will never need to turn someone away because of what their hair looks like.
What makes the Seienstyle process different
I spent years developing a method that protects everyone in the room — your client's scalp, your hands, and your body over a long career. Here's what that means in practice:
No products. No wax, no gel, nothing that leaves residue in the hair. The hair does the work of becoming a loc, supported by skilled hands and a well-designed technique.
No pain. The crochet motion is small and controlled — your hands won't bleed, your client's scalp won't ache. Gentle is not the same as slow.
No "awkward stage." Locs made with this method begin to mature within two to three months, because from the very first day we're working with the hair's natural intelligence, not against it.
No exclusions. Every hair texture. Every client.
And the whole system — the tools, the furniture, your posture, the rhythm of your day — is treated as one practice. Because a technique that ruins your body in five years isn't a technique worth learning.
