A slower pace, by choice

I live in Provence, in the south of France, surrounded by vineyards, olive trees and a slower rhythm of life. My husband and I moved here because we wanted to live closer to nature and the seasons. That slower life has made me a calmer, healthier and better loctician.

My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. When I think of Adelaide, with its calm pace and the wine regions nearby, it feels familiar. It seems like a place where people already understand that good things take time.

Why Adelaide

Adelaide is known for its relaxed, liveable feel, with leafy streets, beaches like Glenelg and Henley, the Adelaide Hills and wine regions such as the Barossa within reach. It is a city where people value quality, craft and time well spent.

There are people in Adelaide and South Australia who have been dreaming of their dreadlocks for years. They deserve a loctician who takes the time to do it well, gently and without products.

What our two days together look like

Before we meet, we have a one-on-one video call to understand your experience and agree on your focus. You choose from dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more.

Then I come to you in Adelaide, and we work side by side on live hair models for two days, at an unhurried pace. Alongside the technique, we talk about the rhythm of your practice: how many days you want to work, how much space you leave between clients, and how to rest properly so you can do this for decades.

Frequently asked questions

What makes the Seienstyle process holistic? It considers your body, your client's body, your tools, your furniture and the rhythm of your days as one practice, not just a hand technique.

Does it work on every hair type? Yes. It is inclusive across every hair texture and uses no products. Dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months.

Is it gentle? Yes, on both your hands and your client's scalp.

What support do I get afterwards? Coaching calls, the Seienstyle community, and lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course.

Retreats in Australia

I am also planning basic and advanced loctician retreats in Australia in 2027. If you would like to hear about them once they are confirmed, just mention it when you email me.

So, is in-person loctician training in Adelaide right for you?

It may be, if you want to learn this craft slowly and well, and build a practice with room to breathe.
