My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. I ask my students these questions because most people never let themselves picture their practice clearly. They drift into whatever happens to come along, and years later wonder why their work does not fit them. Seeing your vision clearly is the first step to building it.

What our two days together look like

Before we meet, we have a one-on-one video call, where we talk about your experience and your vision. You choose your focus from dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more.

Then I come to you in Charlotte, and we work side by side on live hair models for two days. Alongside the hands-on work, we keep coming back to your vision: the kind of clients you want, the services you want to offer, the rhythm of your week, and the boundaries that will protect it.
