Loctician Training in Delaware: Hands-On Dreadlock Training With the Seienstyle Process
Apr 04, 2023By Ann-Marie Christell, Seienstyle
You cannot learn what you do not know to look for
When you teach yourself a craft, you can only learn what you happen to come across. That is the quiet limit of self-teaching. There are hundreds of small details in making beautiful dreadlocks, and many of them you will never think to search for.
My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. I started with library books and trial and error, long before online tutorials existed. I made progress, but I also built habits in my hands and posture that took years to undo.
If you live in Delaware and feel the pull toward this work, I would love to help you start with a clear foundation instead.
Why Delaware
Delaware may be small, but it sits right in the middle of a busy part of the country, close to Philadelphia, Baltimore and the wider East Coast. From Wilmington and Newark to Dover and the beach towns, there are people who have been dreaming of their dreadlocks for years and looking for someone they can trust.
A skilled, caring loctician in Delaware can serve local clients and people travelling in from nearby cities alike.
Learning with a teacher beside you
The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you in Delaware, and we work together on live hair models.
When I am right beside you, I can correct the small things before they become habits: how you section, how you hold the hook, the tension you use, the way you stand. You choose the services you want to focus on before we meet, from dreadlocks on natural hair and extensions to maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more.
A method worth learning properly
The Seienstyle process works on every hair texture and uses no products at all. Its small, controlled crochet motion protects your hands for the long run, and dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months, without the awkward stage.
We also talk about your body and posture, about being present with clients through long appointments, and about building a practice you can sustain.
Continued support
Before our two days together, we meet on a video call. Afterwards, you continue with coaching calls, join the Seienstyle community and keep lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course.
So, is in-person loctician training in Delaware right for you?
