What if there was no awkward stage?

There is a belief, widespread online, that new dreadlocks take one to three years to mature. People talk about the awkward stage as if it were an unavoidable rite of passage: months of hair that looks frizzy, unfinished and in between.

My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. With the Seienstyle process, dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months. Not because we force the hair, but because we work with its natural ability to lock, giving it the right conditions from the very first day.

If you live in Kentucky and want to learn to create dreadlocks your clients love from day one, I would be happy to teach you.

Why Kentucky

Kentucky is a place of rolling green hills, rivers and horse country, with cities like Louisville and Lexington and towns like Bowling Green and Covington. There are people there who have been dreaming of dreadlocks for years, and who want them to look and feel beautiful right away, not after a long wait.

I used to reassure clients in the mirror that their dreadlocks would look amazing in three or six months. Now I get to see the glow in their eyes on the very first day. That is something special to be able to offer.

How the training works

The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in Kentucky, and we work side by side on live hair models.

You choose your focus before we meet. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more. The training is shaped around your experience, whether you are new to hair or already working as a stylist.

Clean, gentle and inclusive

The Seienstyle process uses no wax, no gel and no residue. It works on every hair texture. Its gentle crochet technique protects your hands and your client's scalp, and builds each dreadlock as a stable structure with room to breathe and mature.

We also talk about your posture and tools, about holding space for clients during long appointments, and about building a practice you can sustain.

Support that continues

Before our two days together, we meet on a video call. Afterwards, you continue with coaching calls, join the Seienstyle community and keep lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course.

So, is in-person loctician training in Kentucky right for you?

It may be, if you want to create clean, natural dreadlocks that look beautiful from the very start, and learn with personal guidance.
