Loctician Training in Massachusetts: Hands-On Dreadlock Training With the Seienstyle Process

How to choose who you learn from
The way you learn this work shapes the loctician you become, possibly for the rest of your career. So before you choose a teacher, I always encourage people to look closely.
Look at their work, not just their Instagram feed, but finished dreadlocks on real clients. Look at dreadlocks they made several years ago, not only brand new ones. Talk to former students if you can. And notice whether their energy is one you could spend many hours beside.
My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. I have trained more than a hundred locticians in many countries. If you live in Massachusetts and are looking for the right teacher, I would love for you to consider me, and to look just as closely.
Why Massachusetts
Massachusetts is a place that values learning and craft. From Boston and Cambridge to Worcester, Springfield, the Berkshires and Cape Cod, it is full of curious, thoughtful people, many of whom care deeply about doing things well.
There are people there who have been dreaming of their dreadlocks for years and want them made by someone who truly knows the craft. A well-trained loctician can build a loyal, lasting practice in a place like this.
What learning with me looks like
The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in Massachusetts, and we work side by side on live hair models.
Before we meet in person, we have a one-on-one video call, so I know you have understood the foundations of the method and have had time to practise. Then you choose the services you want to focus on. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more. During our two days, I guide your hands directly and shape everything around your level.
The Seienstyle process
The method you learn works on every hair texture, uses no products, and is gentle on your hands and your client's scalp. Dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months, without the awkward stage.
We also talk about protecting your body, holding space for clients through long appointments, and building a practice you love.
A relationship, not a weekend
After our two days, you continue with coaching calls and join the Seienstyle community of locticians around the world. You also keep lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course, so as the method evolves, you evolve with it.
So, is in-person loctician training in Massachusetts right for you?
It may be, if you want a teacher who can see your work, correct it before bad habits set in, and stay with you as you grow.

If you would like to talk, email me at [email protected]. Tell me a little about yourself and where you are in Massachusetts, and we can set up a video call to see whether we are a good match.
With love,
Ann-Marie
