I was born in Fagersta, a small town in Sweden, and I built my salon in Stockholm, where many of my clients have been coming to me for ten, fifteen, even twenty years. When I think of Minnesota, with its lakes, forests, long winters and Scandinavian roots, it feels a little like home.

My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. Today I live in Provence and still travel back to Stockholm regularly to care for my clients there. If you live in Minnesota and feel drawn to becoming a loctician, I would love to bring my training to you.

Why Minnesota

Minnesota is known for its thousands of lakes, its forests and its strong sense of community. From Minneapolis and St. Paul to Duluth, Rochester and the small lake towns, it is home to people who value craft, nature and a life lived with care.

Two days together

The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in Minnesota, and we work side by side on live hair models.

You choose the services you most want to learn before we meet. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more. Whether you are just starting or already work with hair, the training is shaped around you.

The Seienstyle process

The method is holistic, inclusive across every hair texture and completely product-free. Its gentle crochet technique protects your hands and your client's scalp. Because it works with the hair's natural intelligence, dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months, without the awkward stage.

We also talk about the rhythm of your work through the seasons, protecting your body and nervous system, and being present with clients through long appointments.
