After a long day indoors with artificial light and other people's energy, the body needs a counterweight. For me, that means time outside. Bare feet on the earth, sitting under a tree, listening to water, watching the light change.

My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. I have learned that the loctician you are in year ten is decided largely by how you choose to live in years one to nine. The ones who last are the ones who find their way back to themselves, again and again, often through nature.

Why Montana

Montana is a land of big skies, mountains, rivers and open space. From Missoula and Bozeman to Billings, Helena, Whitefish and the small ranch towns, many people there live close to nature and value independence and a grounded way of life.

There are people in Montana who have been dreaming of their dreadlocks for years, and who want them created with care, without products, in a way that feels natural. Because distances are long, a skilled local loctician can mean a great deal to them.

I come to you

The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in Montana, and we work side by side on live hair models.

You choose the services you most want to learn before we meet. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more. The training is shaped around your experience and your goals.

A holistic method

The Seienstyle process is inclusive across every hair texture and uses no wax, no gel and no residue. Its gentle crochet technique protects your hands and your client's scalp, and dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months.

We also talk about the life around your work: rest, rhythm, movement that balances the small repetitive motions of the craft, and ways to stay present with clients without carrying their stories home.

Before our two days, we meet on a one-on-one video call. Afterwards, you continue with coaching calls, join the Seienstyle community and keep lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course.
