Over the years, people have flown from the United States to my salon in Stockholm to have their dreadlocks made. I have also travelled to New York to do this work myself, and I have always loved the energy of the place: the creativity, the boldness and the people who come there to become exactly who they want to be.

My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. If you live in New York and feel drawn to becoming a loctician, I would love to come back and teach you in person.

New York is one of the most diverse places on earth. In New York City alone, from Brooklyn and Harlem to Queens and the Bronx, you will find people from every corner of the world and every hair texture you can imagine. Beyond the city, from the Hudson Valley to Albany, Rochester and Buffalo, there are communities with their own character and their own dreams.

In a place like this, a loctician who can work confidently on any hair, and who never has to say your hair isn't right for this, has something truly valuable to offer.

One-on-one, hands-on

The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in New York, and we work side by side on live hair models.

There is no crowded classroom. It is just the two of us, so I can see your hands and guide you in the moment. Before we meet, you choose your focus. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more.

The Seienstyle process

You learn a method that works on every hair texture, from fine, straight hair to tight coils. It uses no products, is gentle on your hands and your client's scalp, and helps dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months.

In a fast city, we also talk about slowing down: creating a calm space for your clients, setting boundaries that protect your energy, and building a practice you can sustain for decades.

Before our two days, we meet on a one-on-one video call. Afterwards, you continue with coaching calls, join the Seienstyle community of locticians around the world and keep lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course.
