Where my students come from

Over the years, I have trained more than a hundred locticians from many countries, and they have come from completely different places in life. Some were experienced hairdressers looking for a new direction. One left traditional hairdressing because of allergies and went on to build her own dreadlock business. Another was a single mother who now runs her own dreadlock practice in New Zealand. Others had never worked with hair professionally at all.

My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. What I have seen again and again is that where you start matters far less than how you learn and how much you want this.

Ohio is a state of big cities and small towns, from Columbus, Cleveland and Cincinnati to Toledo, Akron, Dayton and the countryside in between. It is home to people of every background and every hair texture, many of whom have dreamed of their dreadlocks for years.

A well-trained loctician in Ohio can build a loyal, lasting practice, one client and one recommendation at a time.

Starting from where you are

The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in Ohio, and we work side by side on live hair models.

Because it is just the two of us, I can meet you exactly where you are. If you are an experienced stylist, we build on what you already know and help you unlearn what does not serve you. If you are new, we start with the foundations. Before we meet, you choose the services you want to focus on, from dreadlocks on natural hair and extensions to maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more.

The Seienstyle process

You learn a method that is inclusive across every hair texture, completely product-free, and gentle on your hands and your client's scalp. Dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months, without the awkward stage.

We also talk about protecting your body, holding space for clients, and building a business you love.

Support that continues

Before our two days together, we meet on a video call. Afterwards, you continue with coaching calls, join the Seienstyle community of locticians around the world, and keep lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course.
