Loctician Training in Pennsylvania: Hands-On Dreadlock Training With the Seienstyle Process
Jul 01, 2023By Ann-Marie Christell, Seienstyle
Learning how every hair behaves
Fine hair locks differently from thick, wavy hair. Loose curls behave differently from tight coils. Baby-fine hair, chemically treated hair and hair that has refused to lock with every other method all need their own approach.
My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. I spent years studying exactly these differences, because I never wanted to turn anyone away. The result is the Seienstyle process, a method that works on any hair that walks through your door.
If you live in Pennsylvania and want to become a loctician who can work confidently with every texture, I would love to teach you.
Why Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania brings together big cities, historic towns, farmland and forested mountains. From Philadelphia and Pittsburgh to Harrisburg, Allentown, Lancaster and State College, it is home to people of many backgrounds and every hair texture imaginable.
There are people across Pennsylvania who have been dreaming of their dreadlocks for years. Some have already been told their hair could not be locked. A loctician who can look at any hair and know how to approach it can change that for them.
Two days, side by side
The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in Pennsylvania, and we work together on live hair models.
Before we meet, you choose your focus. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more. Because it is just the two of us, I can show you how to read each texture and adjust your approach to it.
The Seienstyle process
Beyond being inclusive, the method is completely product-free, with no wax, no gel and no residue. Its gentle crochet technique protects your hands and your client's scalp. And because it works with the hair's natural intelligence, dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months.
We also talk about your posture and tools, holding space for clients through long appointments, and building a practice you love.
Support that continues
Before our two days, we meet on a one-on-one video call. Afterwards, you continue with coaching calls, join the Seienstyle community and keep lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course.
So, is in-person loctician training in Pennsylvania right for you?
It may be, if you want to say yes to every client and every hair texture, and learn a gentle, product-free method with personal guidance.

With love,
Ann-Marie
