My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. I never forget that every client is crossing a threshold. My job, and the job I teach my students, is to hold the door open for them with skill and with care.

What our two days together look like

Before we meet, we have a one-on-one video call to make sure you are ready and to choose your focus. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more.

Then I come to you in San Antonio, and we work side by side on live hair models for two full days. As we work, we also talk about the client in the chair: how to welcome them, how to listen without fixing, how to hold silence, and how to stay grounded without carrying everything home with you.
