Sun on your skin. Time outside. Awareness of the seasons as they change. These might sound like small things, but for a loctician who spends long days indoors in close contact with other people, they are essential. They are how the body comes back to itself.

My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. Since moving to Provence, I try to live with the cycles of nature as much as I can. It has made me a better loctician, and a calmer, healthier person.

Why South Dakota

South Dakota is a land of wide prairies, rolling hills and the forests and rock formations of the Black Hills. From Sioux Falls and Rapid City to Aberdeen, Brookings and the small towns across the plains, many people there live close to the land and the seasons.

There are people in South Dakota who have been dreaming of dreadlocks for years and may not have a skilled loctician nearby. Someone who works gently and naturally can mean a lot to them.

I come to you

The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in South Dakota, and we work side by side on live hair models.

You choose the services you most want to learn before we meet. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more. The training is shaped around your experience and goals.

A holistic method

The Seienstyle process is inclusive across every hair texture and uses no wax, no gel and no residue. Its gentle crochet technique protects your hands and your client's scalp, and dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months.

We also talk about the life around your work: rest, time outdoors, and practices that help you stay grounded and present with your clients.

Support afterwards

Before our two days, we meet on a one-on-one video call. Afterwards, you continue with coaching calls, join the Seienstyle community and keep lifetime access to The Professional Loctician Online Course.
