My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. By the time a client like this sits down in my chair, they have already found a great deal of courage. My role is to honour that courage, to create dreadlocks that make them feel beautiful and confident from the first day, and to hold space for whatever comes up along the way.

What our two days together look like

Before we meet, we have a one-on-one video call to understand your experience and goals. You choose your focus from dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more.

Then I come to you in Washington, D.C., and we work side by side on live hair models for two days. I teach you to create neat, even dreadlocks that look polished from the very start, and we talk about how to welcome a client who may be nervous, how to listen, and how to support them through a meaningful change.
