My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. When the hair is invited into its new form rather than forced, it learns from the very first day what it is becoming. There is no fighting and no long wait through awkward stages. Dreadlocks made this way begin to mature within two to three months.

The training

The Professional Loctician In-Person Training is a two-day, one-on-one training. I travel to you, wherever you are in Wisconsin, and we work side by side on live hair models.

You choose your focus before we meet. The options include dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks, synthetic dreadlocks and more. Because it is just the two of us, I can show you directly how to give the hair the conditions it needs.

Working with the hair's intelligence is only one part of it. The method is also inclusive across every hair texture, completely product-free, and gentle on your hands and your client's scalp.

We also talk about protecting your body, holding space for clients through long appointments, and building a practice that lasts.
