My name is Ann Marie Christell, and I am the founder and creator of the Seienstyle Process. I am a professional loctician and dreadlock specialist with over 26 years of experience working with dreadlocks, extensions, and natural hair.

I created this post so you can get to know me, understand my approach, and feel whether I am the right person to guide you on your dreadlock journey.

My Journey With Dreadlocks – 26+ Years of Experience

For more than two decades, I have worked with clients from all over the world. I have trained extensively, travelled internationally, and studied many different dreadlock techniques and methods. Through the years, I have worked with:

• All hair types
• All textures
• Clients with different lifestyles and needs
• Beginners and long-term dreadlock wearers
• Repair, maintenance, and full transformations

This global experience has given me deep knowledge of what techniques create different results. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every head of hair is unique.

Why I Created the Seienstyle Process

The Seienstyle Process was not created overnight. It was born out of both curiosity and necessity.

In my early years as a loctician, I simply followed the techniques I had learned. But after some time, I began to experience physical pain in my body. At the same time, I was not fully satisfied with the long-term results my clients were getting.

This made me ask myself an important question:
Can I continue working like this for the rest of my life?

So I began experimenting. I tested new approaches, adjusted my methods, and carefully observed how my clients’ dreadlocks developed over time.

The results surprised me.

When my clients returned after three months, their dreadlocks often looked as mature as they normally would after one year. They experienced less discomfort during the process, and their dreadlocks lasted longer between maintenance sessions.

This journey led me to develop the Seienstyle Process — a method designed to support both the client and the practitioner.

What Makes the Seienstyle Process Unique

This method focuses on:

The foundation includes a specialised backcombing technique combined with precise crochet work. In some cases, I use a supportive string at the root. This can be especially helpful if you are sensitive to tension or pain.

The string helps:

• Support the root
• Encourage round dreadlocks
• Speed up the maturation process
• Strengthen the structure
• Reduce loose and fragile hairs

Not everyone wants this look, and that’s why I customise every installation.

For clients with specific challenges, I also offer advanced repair and problem-solving techniques.

A Holistic Approach to Hair

I believe hair is deeply connected to identity, energy, and personal transformation.

In addition to being a trained hairdresser, I am also a Reiki healer. I offer Reiki, meditation, and breathwork as part of the dreadlock experience if you wish.

My goal is to create a calm, safe, and stress-free environment where you feel supported both physically and emotionally.

For many clients, getting dreadlocks is not just about hair. It is about stepping into a new version of themselves.

Where I Work

I am currently based in beautiful Provence, France, where I live a slow and nature-connected lifestyle. I grow vegetables, restore my garden, and spend time hiking and exploring.

If you visit me in Provence for your dreadlock appointment, you can also experience local markets, nature, and the relaxed lifestyle of the South of France.

I also work in Stockholm, Sweden every three months to support my clients there.

In addition, I travel internationally for:
