It is a calm, honest look at what it means to become a loctician: what the work asks of your body and your heart, whether it fits your personality and your life, what makes the Seienstyle process different, and how you can begin even with no experience.

It is not a hands-on technique course, and it does not try to rush you into anything. It is there to give you clarity, so you can decide your next step with open eyes.

The Professional Loctician Online Course

The Professional Loctician Online Course is my complete online training in the Seienstyle process, the holistic method I have built over more than two decades for creating, maintaining and extending dreadlocks.

The course guides you step by step, from your very first practice on a mannequin head, through dreadlocks with extensions and maintenance, to the moment you begin working with real clients. Along the way, you also learn how to build a practice: how to care for your body, how to be with your clients, and how to begin attracting the people you most want to work with.

You can follow the course from anywhere in the world, at your own pace, and come back to the lessons whenever you need them. You also become part of The Professional Loctician community, where you can share your work and connect with other locticians on the same path.

One-on-one coaching with me

This is the heart of how I teach online today. Every student in The Professional Loctician Online Course has one-on-one video coaching calls with me.

In our calls, we:

• Look at your work together. I can see what your hands are doing and give you live guidance on your technique.
• Shape the course around your goals. Whether you dream of a calm home studio, a traveling practice or adding dreadlocks to an existing salon, we focus on what matters for you.
• Keep you moving. Having someone who knows where you are and is waiting to see your progress makes a real difference. It is often the thing that helps students make it all the way to working with real clients.

Because every student gets this personal time with me, I can only take a limited number of students into the course at a time.

Why the Seienstyle process

Everything in the course rests on the Seienstyle process:

• It works on every hair texture, so you never need to tell anyone their hair is not right for dreadlocks.
• It uses no products. No wax, no gel, no residue. The technique does the work.
• It is gentle on your hands. No bleeding fingers, and your tools, furniture and posture are part of the method, so you can do this work for decades.
• It is gentle on your client. Less pain in the scalp and a calm, unhurried experience.
• It works with the hair. Dreadlocks begin to mature within two to three months, without the long awkward stage.

Already working as a loctician?

If you already make dreadlocks professionally, I also offer a more advanced version of the course. It comes with one-on-one coaching focused on what experienced locticians most often struggle with: pain in the body, speed and confidence, marketing, and the systems that keep a business running smoothly.

Online or in person?

Some people learn best with a teacher right beside them. If that is you, I also offer a two-day, one-on-one in-person training, which includes lifetime access to the online course. If you are unsure which suits you, we can talk it through.

Frequently asked questions

Can you really learn to make dreadlocks online? Yes, when you have clear lessons, regular practice and someone who can see your work and guide you. That is why the coaching calls are such an important part of the course.

Do I need experience? No. The course starts at the very beginning. If you are an experienced hairstylist, we build on what you already know.

How long does the course take? You go at your own pace. How quickly you progress depends mostly on how much you practise.

Can I pay in instalments? Yes, payment plans are available.
