Some of the people who come to me are not ready to commit to dreadlocks on their own hair for years. They want to try the look first. Some want colour and length for a summer, a festival or a new chapter in their life. Others want soft, curly mermaid hair that falls like waves. And some simply love being able to change their style without changing their own hair.

My name is Ann-Marie Christell, and I have been a professional loctician for over 26 years. Synthetic dreadlocks and mermaid hair are among the most joyful services I offer. They are creative, colourful and temporary, and they let people play with who they are. For a loctician, they are also a beautiful way to welcome clients who are not yet ready for permanent dreadlocks.

This online course teaches you how to create, install and take out synthetic dreadlocks and mermaid hair in a way that is beautiful for your client and kind to their hair and scalp. You can follow it from anywhere in the world, at your own pace, and come back to the lessons whenever you need them.

Three one-on-one coaching calls with me

Learning from videos is a wonderful start, but there is nothing like having someone look at your work and help you take the next step. That is why the course includes three one-on-one coaching calls with me.

In our calls, we can look at your work together, talk through anything you are unsure about, and plan how to bring these services into your practice: who your clients are, how to present the services, and how to price them fairly.
