Loctician Training in Australia: I Come to Your State Capital

Australia is a long way from my salon in Stockholm. For many people who dream of training with me, the journey to Europe is simply too big.

So now I come to you. Wherever you live in Australia, I travel to the capital of your state or territory, whether that is Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Darwin or Canberra, and we train together there, one-to-one, for two days.

Why the capital city?

It gives us a clear and simple plan. The capitals are where most people live, they are easy to reach within each state, and they have places to work and stay. We agree on the exact location together when we plan your training.

What the two days look like

Before we meet, you work through The Professional Loctician Online Course and we have a personal video call, so I know where you are and what you want to focus on.

Then we spend two full days side by side, working on real hair models. You choose what matters most to you: dreadlocks on natural hair, dreadlocks with extensions, maintenance, mermaid dreadlocks or synthetic dreadlocks. I watch your hands, correct what needs correcting, and share what 26 years have taught me about holding space for the person in the chair.

Finding hair models

You bring the hair models, and I help you find them. Start with people who have wanted dreadlocks for a long time: friends, friends of friends, people who follow you online. My students also get access to our hair model group, and I help through Seienstyle's social channels.

A note on the rules where you live

The rules for working with hair differ between states. In New South Wales and South Australia, there are laws about who may do hairdressing for a fee.
